Welcome to the Art Group Random show
We are the creative seven artists who express our own worlds in different artforms. Eriko Fujii, Akira Motohashi live in Tokyo Japan, Juki Noma lives in Osaka, Keiko Miyahara lives in Nagasaki city, Lynnette Vega lives in northan California, and Shelley Nakano, Goro Nakano live in Santa Barbara California.
We had a successful art exhibition at Nagasaki city in year 2014, and planing another one coming soon.
ERIKO FUJII : Sculptured by stone powder clay and painted
Her work is very delicate. Every detail must be perfectly colored and shaped to express her fantasy world.
She has had many art exhibitions in the Tokyo area, and is well known for her distinctive sculptured characters.
Also, she has published several children books in Japan by using her characters.
It is my peivilege to intoduce the world of Eriko Fujii.

JUKI NOMA: Computer Garphic art
After graduating California State University at Long Beach with a degree in art illustration, He moved to New York City and worked as a designer for Tiffany for 20 years. He created many of his original works while living in New York. He moved back to Osaka Japan from N.Y in year 2010, and keep creating his unique vision of the world.

AKIRA MOTOHASHI : Painter
After graduating Kuwazawa Design School in Tokyo, Akira moved to Los Angeles, California. Then, he diceided to travel around the world to feel the wind. On his return to Tokyo, he organized a company of artists who produced art designs for theme parks and amusement parks.
His work speaks his mind. For instance, look at the animals that he painted for a while. Soon you will realize that the animals are the ones watching you, and you will hear their voices.

Shelley Nakano: Ceramist
She graduated UCLA with a degree in Modern Dance. Later in life, she developed her interest and skills in producing ceramic ware. Her company's title, "Mud Dances" reflects these two passions. Currently she is making and exhibiting her own ceramic ware in Santa Barbara.
She offten travels to Japanese ceramic villages to add inspiration to her work. Thus her work reflects the influence of both Japanese and western ceramic designs.
Her desire is to produce art for daily use. She hopes her wares will bring a sense of beauty as a person drinks from one of her cups or uses one of her bowls.

LYNNETTE VEGA: Multi Media
An artist and poet, Lynnette Vega lives in the redwood forest area of Northern California. She studied art at various Bay Area colleges and received her BA in Art, with an emphasis in ceramics, from San Francisco State University and a Master's Degree in Art Therapy from College of Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, CA. For the last 20++ years, she has worked primarily with the disabled elderly, teaching art classes and facilitating different discussion and support groups. Artistically, she enjoys trying different mediums and has worked with watercolor, oil, pastel pencil and chalk. In San Mateo County where she lives, she has been invited twice to read her poetry publicly by the County's two different poet laureates.
GORO NAKANO
His love of poetry began in junior high school and was inspired by a passionate Japanese language teacher. Reading various poets, especially French and Americans opened poetic door to the world. He left Japan to travel to North and South America during the 1970's.
The friends he met during his travels stimulated his interest in photography, movies, music, and art in general. It fascinates him that any form of art can create ripples into his sensible soul.
Recently, he has started creating stained glass windows, working in wood, and making fused glass mirrors.

KEIKO MIYAHARA : Water Color Painting
She was born in Fukuoka, Japan and graduated from Tsuda college in Tokyo with a degree in English Literature. During the last 40 years she has lived in Nagasaki, Japan mainly as a housewife, but has also cultivated her interests in writing, teaching English, water color painting and traditional Japanese cooking. The focus of her water color work is still life subjects.
